Fused silica sand/flour (FSS)

Fused silica sand/flour (FSS)

Fused silica sand/flour is produced by melting refined quartz sand at high temperatures (electrofusion temperature of 1800°C-2000°C). It exhibits stable chemical properties, resistance to acids and alkalis, high temperature tolerance, low expansion coefficient, high purity, high insulation, excellent thermal stability, and extremely low thermal conductivity. It is primarily used as shell-making material for precision lost wax casting (carbon steel, low alloy steel, thin-walled complex parts), refractory materials, glass ceramics, and in the electronics industry.
